Foundations for Effective Team Development
To meet today’s challenges, organizations must draw on the strengths of everyone involved in the enterprise. To ensure their very survival, organizations need fresh ideas. They need support in communicating with their customers, the marketplace, and each other. They need insight into resolving issues with colleagues. Most of all they need team members that know how to innovate, cooperate and get results in record time, often with reduced budgets.
A team is more than a group of individuals working together. Today’s successful team is made up of people who know what is right for them, and how to work with others to start fast, move fast, and turn ideas into reality in record time.
This four module program explores all aspects of team development - from understanding self and others, through the importance of analysis and innovation, to effective inter-team communication. They include:
- Module 1: Understanding Ourselves and Others: Building Trust
- This session will help you:

Understand your behavioural tendencies and develop an understanding of how your behaviour affects others |

Understand the impact of different behavioural styles on team communication, individual motivation and goals |

Understand, respect, appreciate, and value individual differences |

Understand the “Trust Model” and how to adapt one’s style to increase the “trust level” in the team |

Develop strategies for working together to increase productivity |

Enhance your effectiveness in accomplishing team tasks by improving your relationships with others |
- Module 2: Team Development
- This session will help you:

Analyse your team: strengths, weaknesses, opportunities, threats |

Identify your behavioural strengths as a member of the corporate team |

Understand how all the Dimensions of Behaviour like to be treated |

Appropriately adapt your behaviour to all the Dimensions of Behaviour |

Describe the five different Listening Approaches, including the focus, motivation, and behavioural indicators of each approach |

Identify your natural listening approach |
 |
Identify appropriate uses of each of the five Listening Approaches |

Review and practice techniques that will enhance your listening skills and improve your communications with others |
